All about me.

OK, I know I have dedicated this blog to my beautiful children, but this post is all about ME. :) Every year, all the girls in my family go on a trip. Depending on pregnancies and babes, a place is picked and everyone tries to go. First year to Park City, next to Jackson Hole, and then our latest trip to Seattle. It has been such a blast just relaxing, being away from hubbies and kiddos, and exploring around the area. This is a MUST for all girls, moms, and friends. :) Here's my latest trip: Of course included in ALL pictures of Seattle, the famous needle. The shoreline from a little boat excursion we went on. Me on the boat. All of us girls at the Old Spaghetti Factory. We took a tour of the underground streets of Seattle. This is one of the things we saw. See that mouse hiding behind that foot? The ceiling of the underground. Or the sidewalks of above. A really nice toilet for the underground. (No it was not used. But then we went into the restrooms and lo and behold, they had these toilets.) After the tour, we went to the Mueseum/Store of interesting things. This is a skeleton of a mermaid. Seriously. Two-headed lamb. This was probably one of the favorite places to visit. Boehm's Chocolate Factory. Need I say more? It really was a cool place to visit. This was in Boehm's house. A music player. Talk about huge cds! The guy got to carry an olympic torch. Am I in Rome? Yeah, this Boehm guy built a church near his house and this was painted on his ceiling. Our cool tour hats. Lots of chocolate. Yeah, who wouldn't want to take a lick? Even more chocolate. And my sister. And now the BEST for LAST!! My most favorite part of the trip. . . . We went here. . .. to see THIS!! WICKED!! It was awesome! The music was just amazing and of course the actors too! It was so worth seeing!

Addi's 2nd Birthday!!

We celebrated Addi's birthday last Friday. Man, having all our birthdays in the summer really wears me out. So by the time it it Addi's birthday, I'm dOnE! Good thing she doesn't really care yet! We had some friends over that have a little girl Addi's age. They play quite often and had a good time together. Addi got a grocery cart, baby doll, pretty shoes, and some sunglasses. She just loves them all!

Flower cake

Pushing her cart with the baby inside with her shoes on. Loves it all!

I love these pictures! You couldn't see a happier little girl!

Poor Addi

Addi had an ear infection so we started her treatment. I wanted to skip amoxicillin since it seems to never work. (I know it depends on the infection but we always start with amoxicillin and then try one or two other meds until it is gone.) So we started with something else, I can't think of the name for it right now. Anyway, it got rid of the infection (yeah!) but Addi had a reaction to the drug. (The weird thing was she didn't have any kind of reaction until 2 days after she was done with the medication.) She got a rash all over her body and her joints swelled up. Her knuckles and feet got so swollen and even her ear! The spots started as white bubbles (looked like bites) and then turned red.

All better now!

Other September happenings

Addi dressed up and ready to go to . . . .Hawaii?? Take me with you girl!! Jerek also celebrated his birthday 2 days after Em. But he's a lot older so we didn't have a party. :) Just cake, and that was good enough!

Family pictures

Brady (Jerek's brother) came home from his mission and the whole family got together for the weekend. It was a fun filled weekend with friends, football, mexican night, dancing, art in the park, Sunday dinner, salsa making, and of course, family pictures. These are just the ones I got with my camera.

Emmalee's present

Emmalee got to go ride a horse and mule for her birthday. Jerek's boss owns a bunch of horses up in the foothills. He was kind enough to take Em and her friend Lauren around the ranch. They had a good time.

Emmalee's 7th birthday!

Em turned 7 on Sept. 6th. I had just gotten home from my Seattle girls' weekend trip. We had a little surprise party for her on Sunday night. Then she got to have a friend over for a sleepover. We had a fun time!

Starting school

This year Emmalee is in 1st grade with Mrs. Shepherd. She had a hard time adjusting at first. The second week of school I got a phone call from the teacher. Emmalee was in trouble for starting a food fight in the cafeteria. Can you believe a little girl from me would do such a thing?!??!? She's so quiet and reserved!! I guess not at school. She also got in trouble in the following weeks for not being a good listener and for playing "kissing tag"! I didn't know she would start kissing boys so early! AH!! It's like she knew she was free at school from her mother's watchful eye and just starting doing everything she always wanted to do. Who would have thought? She's doing much better though and hasn't gotten in trouble in the past month. She really isn't a trouble maker. NEVER got in trouble in kindergarten or preschool. She's a good girl with a little wild streak. :)

Blake also started preschool. He goes 2xweek for 3hours. He has really enjoyed learning and being with other kids his age.
