A 'boogie'

Last Sunday Emmalee had a boogie during sacrament meeting. She didn't have a kleenex so she wiped it somewhere. Don't know where, but it ended up on the back of Jerek's white shirt. Didn't notice it until we were home getting ready for lunch. I said, "Jerek, what is that spot on the back of your shirt? It looks like a . . . . oh, it is. . .It's a big booger! Did you have that on your shirt all day? How embarrassing!!!" (Of course, laughing hysterically.) Today in sacrament Emmalee asked for a kleenex this time. I didn't have one. Oops. Guess Jerek will have to help her out again.

A little Kung Fu

We got Kung Fu Panda for Christmas and love it! The kids pretend to do Kung Fu and bow to the master (Jerek) and do what he tells them to do. (You can see why we love it.) I got a basement picked up (twice) for the dojo, the floor mopped and some dusting, and cleaned rooms. Here's some pics of the kids bowing to the master and making a furious face. BTW, Blake is known as 'monkey' (go figure) and Emmalee is 'tigress'. I told the kids our family could be the furious 5 for halloween. Loved it! Here's his furious face. He just can't help but smile. :) Bowing to the master.

Now that is a furious face!

And the stance, but you can't see her feet.

 Bowing
.
If you haven't seen this movie, I highly recommend you showing it to your small children. Teach them to bow and respect 'the master'. And to do whatever 'the master' says. :) And make sure they know that you are the kung fu master. And even kung fu students do work around the house. That is how they grow strong. (You can actually call your house the dojo. It works! For a little while at least. Isn't that worth it?)

Blake's 'accident'

So this morning getting ready for 9am church was fun. Jerek goes at 7:15 so it's just me and getting the kids up, dressed, and fed. Blake does NOT get up well in the morning when he has to be waken. I woke him up and started getting him dressed (like at 8:15). I put his shirt on and took off his pants and told him to run to the bathroom. Well, I guess I wasn't paying attention very well. Blake was not quite awake and when I pushed him up onto his feet, they didn't catch him. Instead he went face first into the corner of his bed post. Whoops! Cut up his lip pretty bad and his gums. Of course tears and blood were flowing. Had to change clothes. He didn't want to eat his breakfast because it hurt too bad. So we took a bowl of oatmeal to church. All this (plus more) and we still made it to church on time! Over all it was a pretty good day. And now it's time for bed.

Such a sad boy with a hurt lip.

closer up. . .

He still loves me!
