My little brothers

When Jerek & I got married they were 14 & 12. So I felt like I gained 2 more little bros. They lived in Boise, we lived in Boise. We went to their track meets, piano recitals, soccer games, birthdays. And they got to come stay in our house, eat our sugar cereal, and play Risk. I remember the first time I left Emmalee with them. She had a poopers. It took the two of them, lots of wipes, and fighting off the impulse to throw up, but they did it. We still laugh about it.

Now they are gone. Graduation, missions, and now school. Before leaving again, we had another late night of games, food, and fun. The next morning they ate my sugar cereal, and played "dragons" with the kids. My kids love them and call them 'Master'. It was just perfect. I secretly hope they don't find a special mate and have children of their own.

Then we can still have our game night.

Exercise for the day:

taking 2 children shopping (yes, that is exercise), mow the lawn, mud the garage (i'm in charge of the screw holes), sand my cabinet doors, & sand my table (gotta work those biceps and triceps!). whew! Needless to say, I slept well last night. Now on to a new day of endless exercise. . . .

I've been BUSY

I have a lot of catching up to do. . ..
But I've been having fun with paint and nails and wood and putty.
Such busy fun work.
I really do love working on our house. We recently finished an addition which ended up taking us 3 years. And I miss it. . . . I miss it so much I just keep thinking of more things I want to do. We did have a few projects we started before our remodel and we are now finishing those up. YEAH! I LOVE it! I find it to be such gratifying work. I work hard on it and then it is finished and it feels and looks good. So the opposite of house work where you work so hard and it looks good for a day or two. And then you have to DO IT AGAIN! So frustrating!! Right now I'm working on my kitchen.

I'll give you a sneek peak. . . .

It's going to look so AWESOME! Look forward to a future post of a finished project. . . .

in a couple of weeks. . .

love where i live

I love waking up to this:

(don't mind that big ol' blue thing on my porch. . )

Right out my back window, or my bedroom window. I can lay in bed watching the hot air balloons float around in the sky. Or sit at the table eating breatkfast just watching. Every spring and fall, in the mornings. I absolutely love it.

"my little princesses"

LOVE THESE GIRLS!
I can't believe how much Addi LOVES Brooklyn! Always asking for her, telling me she wants to go to her house, putting her name in songs (to the tune of "twinkle, twinkle": "brooklyn, brooklyn, little brooklyn") and even praying for her. The other day they played dress up and it was so CUTE! Walking around in their pretty dresses and of course the pretty shoes! Needless to say, they have fun together.
