And another one bites the dust!

Voila! Another bathroom finished!
The kids domain.
Before:

oh gosh, I wish I had pictures of this bathroom when we moved it. There was no shower with this tub. There was tile halfway up surrounding the tub and a nice towel rack above that. This was our VERY FIRST project in this house. We had one working shower in the house and it was in the basement! And it is tiny! I remember being pregnant with Blake, staying up late helping Jerek tile this bathroom. I was so excited to get it done. I was tired of going down and up two flights of stairs JUST to shower & feeling really pregnant in that shower!

Now for the after:

New cabinet with counter top and sink, new floor ($5 STEAL at RCWilley), handmade towel racks (my husband is seriously amazing! I showed him a picture of what I wanted and DONE!), and new accessories. And now for the next project: the master bath!!

Finally finished

The bathroom redo that started 5 or so years ago. . . . . (kind of before pictures. when we bought the house, this bathroom was BUSY with white and blue wallpaper and the cabinet color matched the toilet.)

You see. . I painted the cabinet about a year or two after we moved in. When I painted it, I ripped out the boards that went around the tile counter top, and that included the back splash. We were planning on putting a new counter on it. Well, it turned out that our bath cabinet is custom made, so there are no pre-fabricated counter tops that will fit it. So since it was not a quick fix, and we didn't know to do, we left it. And soon after, started on our 3 year addition. Needless to say, this bathroom was put on the back burner for the next couple of years. Yes, the ripping drywall complimented the room nicely. Another added bonus: We textured the walls in this bathroom when we ripped out all the wallpaper. We planned on putting up bead board so we only textured half the wall. You can imagine what a beauty this bathroom was. PLUS it is the only bathroom on the main level of the house.  :) So any visitors got to spend time in this place.
Now that the addition is finished, we have been finishing all our little projects. After several months, this bathroom is finally complete. Well, almost. I still have some decorating to do. :)

Maybe a nice little metal thing above the toilet. And bright blue mats for the pictures. . .

 We have our juggler.
 Rope twister girl.
 Poodle skirt dancing queen.
 Jumping roper.
 'cool as Ice'

humaneering (seriously, climbing 'the grand' without touching the ground!)
And a few card tricks.
(not pictured: 50's dancing even with the poodle skirts, chimers, beat boxing, piano and song, and nose cracking)
Whew!! That's a lot of talents coming at ya!

Can't believe I forgot these ones.....
The kids made some pretty awesome snow caves out of these drifts.

Snowfall

This was our very first snowfall. The kids were already out making a snowman.
Pretty talented to use ALL the snow in the yard to get one!

And here's our snowman after the second snowfall.
yeah, it took all of us to make this one.

We went to Hansen before Thanksgiving to see all of my family that was coming to visit. We showed up on Monday afternoon at the start of the snowstorm. Then it snowed and snowed and snowed.

Can you see my van under there??

Trying to get out!

Cousin Fun! It was so worth being stuck for a few days and digging out the van to play with all these kids. Can't wait to ALL be together in 2 months (5 cousins are missing). It's been 3 YEARS since we all have. Oh the fun that we'll have!
