Ode to our Grandma

(to the tune of 'When Grandpa comes')

It's always fun when Grandma comes, when Grandma comes, HOORAH!
She always does the kindest things and in the kindest ways.
She cooks, & cleans, & buys us things & even babysits!
It's always fun and great for mom when Grandma comes!!

We love you Grandma!! We miss you already!

Christmas Bear

We are trying out a new tradition this year. I really wanted the kids to get into the Christmas spirit. So we have the Christmas Bear. If you get the bear, it means that a service has been given to you, and now it is your turn to pass it on. It's the spirit of giving without spending money. The gift of yourself, which is, the BEST gift you can give. We just started, but it is looking good so far. Even Blake who is 3 1/2 is finding ways to give of himself. I'll have to let you know how it turns out. To be continued. . . .

Picture Progression

The process of taking pictures with 3 little children.

Of course, the baby isn't looking.

Um, well at least the baby is.

Oh, so close. . . We have a crawl away!

Ah, Perfect!

Making our Thanksgiving treat

So here we are doing our Thanksgiving treat. (Recipe below) It was so easy, the kids did the whole things themselves. It was a cute success.

This is the best kind of craft cause it's edible! Here's how you do it. Pilgrim Hat Cookies 1c. vanilla frosting yellow food coloring 32 miniature peanut butter cups 1 pkg fudge-striped cookies 32 pieces orange mini Chiclets gum In a small shallow bowl, combine frosting and food coloring. Remove paper liners from peanut butter cups. Holding the bottom of a peanut butter cup, dip top of cup in yellow frosting. Position over center hole of a cookie, forming the hatband and crown. Add a buckle of Chiclets gum. Repeat with remaining cups and cookies.
