Away!!

It was time to leave the kiddos and head off to a warmer place! We hadn't been on a trip since....Hawaii?? 2010? Doesn't matter. It had been long enough. We had a great time. But we were excited to get off that boat!

Cruise 2014: Western Caribbean
Boat: Caribbean Princess
We spent the first day getting on the boat and orienting ourselves. We had wonderful food! Every night! Our favorite was the beef medallions which were so tender. The days that were spent at sea were filled with activities. We were in a paper airplane contest which we both got a prize in. We enjoyed movies under the stars and some great shows. There was a comedian, musician, dancers, & a magician. The musician was my favorite. We enjoyed the trivia games, salsa dancing, running on the treadmill which proved to be very difficult some mornings with the movement of the boat, formal dining nights, and the best part was the ports and the FOOD! seriously.

on our way

on the back of the boat. the water was so blue!

My favorite dessert "the love boat"
 1st stop: Cozumel, Mexico
Not my favorite port. It is really commercialized with a ton of people around.
we rented a scooter. it was fun haggling with the locals.

went snorkeling on this beautiful beach

on the hog

the one ruin with the one Mayan

our boat
2nd stop: Roatan, Honduras
my favorite by far. it is so beautiful! lots of green and the beaches were immaculate. we took a ride to the zip line with lady that does tours as a side job. she told us so much about the island. it was neat to learn about it.

with our super awesome fun guides

went to this beautiful beach

Anita, our paddle board guide

So Anita gets us to kiss and then misses the pict! it was funny cause the people around were cheering for us. paddle boarding is a lot harder than it looks! Jerek fell in 4 times and i was the slow one, but didn't fall in!

3rd stop: Belize City, Belize
We booked this excursion through the cruise line. We had to meet our group at 6:45! Already not a fan. We then took an hr bus ride to our river cruise. The cruise was 30+ mins on a speedy boat: which meant no talking and hair whipping everywhere! But the ruins were pretty awesome.
Lamanai ruins

River cruise, did NOT see any crocodiles

climbed this steep ruin and had one sore quad for 2 days afterwards....

Our sea days
formal dinner night

movies under the stars

showtime
We had a great time! But it was nice to get on land again!
