Holy Cow. The days go fast! 9 years ago and I had my boy. Sigh....
We spent the morning serving in our Stake Family Service Day. Putting bark in the playground and around the trees. It was fun to be with friends serving our community. Then it was Blake's day. We went swimming and to "How to Train Your Dragon 2". Then our California cousins showed up for dinner and cake!

Finishing up school
Addi's Spring Dance Recital
We had both sets of grandparents there which was a special treat! I'm kind of sad knowing this is our last for at least a year as Addi is going to switch to gymnastics. Oh sigh. She is an adorable ballerina.
Next up, Em's spring band concert. Which will also be her last as she is switching to orchestra to play the violin.
waiting to start |
And then Blake's bike rodeo
And last day of school body signing.
And then Addi's Kindergarten graduation!!
the whole pm class |
good friends from school |
Addi with Ms. Strickler, her teacher |
And hooray for school to be out!! Looking forward to carefree summer days!

Questions for Kiddos
My sister-in-law owns/runs a popular blog and whenever she needs "kid things" she turns to her favorite nieces and nephew. She sent us some questions to ask our kids and here are some of their answers.
Emma (11)
1.) Why do people hold hands?
To show their love
2) What are cooties?
Germs that men have. Or like sperms, I guess?
Don't women have them?
No they have eggs.
3.) How long do people need to date before they get married?
Enough to know each other, learn about each other and figure out how they act.
4.) How do you know who to marry?
It's kind of hard to know. You just pick someone to marry, but you could have picked someone better. Make sure you know them a lot. You need to really know them.
5.) How did your parents meet?
Didn't you meet at a church? Yeah, one of those churches... like LDS churches.
Blake (8)
1.) Why do people hold hands?
Ummm, because that means they like each other?
2) What are cooties?
What I don't even know?! Like when they're cute?
3.) How long do people need to date before they get married?
When they are 16 years old.
Ok, but how long do you need to date?
4 years. 4 or 5 years.
4.) How do you know who to marry?
By dating them for a while so that you know them better.
5.) How did your parents meet?
Um, at high school? No wait, Dad can you just tell me where you met? Where did you meet?!
Addi (6)
1.) Why do people hold hands?
Because they are friends. Or married?
2) What are cooties?
What ARE cooties?
Just guess, what do you think they are?
I don't know... bums? NO, DAD DON'T TYPE THAT!!!
3.) How long do people need to date before they get married?
15 years? No, no 1 year. No, 7 years.
4.) How do you know who to marry?
Because you date them and he looks handsome and he's nice.
5.) How did your parents meet?
At a highschool. Not a high school, just a place. Like a school and Mom was on rolling skates.
